EDIT: Rebuilding won’t even do anything. There’s not a player of this caliber coming up anytime soon. It’s called a “generational prospect” for a reason. We could totally blow up everything and still not even be the best or probably even second best team in the state by the time the rebuild is complete. Fuck.

So like, let's say for example that you grew up in Las Vegas, but moved to Sacramento and became a fan of the Kings. Vegas is about to get an NBA team. You already root for the Golden Knights and the Raiders. How would you handle that? Would you switch your allegiance to whatever the Vegas expansion team is? Would you just have a weird divided rooting interest where you root for Las Vegas in everything but Basketball? Or would you just sort of try to support both and hope they never meet in the playoffs or whatever?
