r/ACNH is committed to maintaining a fun and safe space for players of all ages, so we take rule violations seriously. We’ve put together these guidelines based on what we’ve found works best in supporting our community's goal. If anything is unclear or you need further explanation, don't hesitate to contact our dedicated MOD team for clarification.

Rule 1) Treat others with kindness, no bullying...

• Within the game's chat system or on the subreddit.

• For bad behavior in the game report here.

• For any bullying, harassment, vulgarity, hate speech, discrimination, etc. on the subreddit, please report the post or comment and feel free to send us a detailed mod mail.

• Be respectful and kind to the islands you visit and other players. ACNH does not condone or tolerate bullying of any kind in the game or on the subreddit. You'll be immediately banned from the community and reported to Reddit admins.

• Please Remember: Animal Crossing is meant to be a relaxing and enjoyable experience for everyone. By embracing respect and kindness, we can create a community where players feel safe, supported, and inspired.

Rule 2) Promote island etiquette...

• Do not litter items you’ve flown in with.
• Always empty your pockets before picking up prizes or attending giveaways, events, or games.
• Do not take items.
• Do not run through flowers.
• No wetsuits.
• No hanging your designs in anyone's shop.
• No cataloging items.
• Do not enter restricted or fenced-off areas.
• Only visit islands for a maximum of 30 minutes.
• Do not press “-” to leave (this resets everyone’s progress).

Applies to all community giveaways unless stated otherwise.

Rule 3) Keep it PG-13...

• Keep dialogue and themes mild, ensuring they are suitable for a broad audience.

Rule 4) No form of IRL currency exchanges...

• This applies to treasure islands.
• Amiibo cards.
• Trades.
• Or anything else that involves real world currency.

Rule 5) "If you see something, say something"...

• If you come across any content that violates our subreddit rules, is inappropriate, or doesn't belong, please report it to the mod team. use the report button or send us a direct message if you're unsure about something. by speaking up, you're helping maintain a positive and welcoming environment for everyone!

• This includes offensive imagery and content on your island that makes others feel uncomfortable or offended.

Rule 6) We advise no public dodo codes...

• Please refrain from posting public dodo codes. you should only share a dodo code via chat. this is a public forum and users that are not members of the community can have ill intent.

• Do not send a dodo code to anyone that does not have a user flair set up.

If you do not follow these rules, we cannot help if anyone causes trouble on your island.

• User flair not only promotes accountability and trust, but it also helps the mod team manage potential issues that may arise during a trip or visit. by tracking members' past experiences, mods can quickly identify patterns, verify claims, and address concerns more effectively, ensuring a smoother experience for everyone.

Rule 8) Content plagiarism and trolls...

• The mods of this community reserve the rights to permanently ban anyone who is affiliated with known trolls, or users who blatantly self-promote / steal content & users we've experienced harassment from, for our own protection.

Rule 9) Promotional Content...

• Posts promoting other subreddits, discord servers, or social media (instagram, tiktok, youtube, etc.) are not allowed.

Crossposting is allowed:

• If you moderate another acnh subreddit or community, you are welcome to crosspost relevant content as long as it follows our 7-day rule (one crosspost per 7 days) and doesn’t come off as spammy.

Rule 10) Giveaway Crossposts...

• Crossposting giveaways from other subreddits is not allowed. if you’d like to share a giveaway with our community, please create a new, original post instead.

• This helps keep giveaways clear, avoids confusion with rules/formatting from other subs, and ensures expired links don’t clutter our feed.

• ✅ All other types of crossposts (turnips, villagers in boxes, custom designs, etc.) are allowed! this rule applies only to giveaways.
