Why are my strawberries this shape?

We've had for awhile now a strawberry plant basket hanging above the ground (probably 2 feet off the ground?) and normally the fruit has been growing normally. I just picked these ones today and they seemed to be the only ones shaped this way, the others seemed fine.

Does anyone know why they came out this way?

EDIT: Just to reiterate, these 4 were the only ones shaped this way. There's some round ones growing at the same time that I haven't picked yet

Advice for obtaining a part-time job

Hi all,

So I've probably applied to tens and tens of jobs by now to no success. I can't tell you how many jobs I've applied to that never even contacted me to provide a rejection. I don't want to be that person that nags a business repeatedly asking for updates, but it feels impossible nowadays to get a job. Even when I check job portals, I still see the postings I've applied to still on the sites which to me feels like the positions haven't been filled yet but there doesn't seem to be the courtesy of an automated rejection email anymore.

For reference, I have retail experience and really good availability (several days a week completely free for 8 hour shifts).

Is anyone else extremely frustrated by the job market? It's challenging trying to earn income as a 20-something year old. I understand the job markets probably oversaturated with applicants, but if anyone has advice for getting a part-time job around here I'd greatly appreciate it.

EDIT: i should've added this in the original post, but I'm a university student. I get this probably factors in to jobs because some employers might not want to accept a student, but in previous years I feel like this wasn't that big of a factor and a lot of jobs were considerate for students.

Crow Vocalization?

Hopefully the video works for the post, but I was in my yard and heard a vocalization I've never heard before. We have both crows and ravens in the area but at the time of the recording there were crows visible although the sound was a few houses away. Does anyone know maybe what purpose this vocalization would be? I don't believe it's from a different bird species but if it is and you recognize it let me know!

(also apologies if this post in any way violates the subreddit, it's my first post)
