I put 2 smart bricks in the upcoming Icons Pinball Machine

While doing some LEGO Smart Play experiments with the upcoming 11374 arcade pinball machine, I scored that dream run through the bridge: thought I’d better document that it can happen.

In the mean time, I’m experimenting with sound designs using existing Star Wars Smart Tags.
Here I am using the Light Saber tag to signify a strike on the asteroid, while I have adapted the spinner to engage with a Smart Brick /xwing tag - the spinner activates/deactivates the bell. There are a couple of minifigures underneath to give voices to the astronaut and space baby.
*the pinball set comes with NO smart bricks and NO smart tags

Experiments are still underway…can I fit 4 bricks in?
Set provided by the LEGO group (I bought the Star Wars smart play sets myself) All opinions are my own.

11505 Woodland Mushrooms

This botanical set breaks free ofbthe well worn bouquet, wreath and pot plant formats to bring us an earthy, mossy woodland biome.

By changing tack from flowers to fungus, there is great scope for different organic shapes, from cap to stem, and there are some useful recolours to suit. My favorite parts usage would be the Dwarf hats in medium nougat used as common bonnet mushrooms, along with the iterative use of the small fern leaf elements to create some branches of bracken.

Underneath, there is a space just right to set up a couple of fairies or sprites, living under the mushroom hill- just perfect for when young kids come to visit, looking for magic.

This is my favorite botanical set to date- the final model has a wistful feel, while the colours and textures are nicely balanced. Couple this with the change of theme - trading bouquets for biomes, this set looks set to invigorate the ever popular botanical range.
