I Got Hit Trying To Find A Spot for Me and My Son To Watch Fireworks
I got hit and the other person didn't care to stop. I was traveling towards the mall area to find a good spot to watch fireworks with my son. Made a right turn from Preston onto Gaylord Pkwy.
Approaching first light, a car from left lane swerves in my lane. I braked well enough to miss them. Approaching next light and signaling to turn right, same vehicle encroaches my lanes, this time making contact with my car. Since approaxhing another stop, we we not going very fast, maybe 20-25 mph. But there was definite contact.
I slowed to a stop at first. But the light was red, so I slowly creeped up to make my turn, signal on to turn right. I didn't want to cause issues at this intersection as it was very busy. But once light turned green I very slowly turned right and paused to see if the other vehicle would follow.
Another car turned but it wasn't the one that hit me. I drove very slowly to next parking lot at a hotel to turn in and again paused. That vehicle did not follow. Once I made it to another parking lot at one of the hotels there, I took pictures. This won't look good for me.
Yes I'm stupid for not jumping out immediately and making a scene I guess. But I am a lone black woman with my son in a rather volatile time in this country, so I was scared to confront or be the aggressor. I'm probably screwed here, but there were a ton of people on that corner that possibly witnessed this happening.
