Vinyl Portfolio, a modern vinyl collection tracker for iOS

A friend and I launched Vinyl Portfolio about a week ago. It’s a collection tracker for iOS aimed at a specific niche: people who actually collect records and care about pressings, variants, and resale value.
What it does:
• Scan a record with your phone (barcode, cover art, or catalog number) to identify the exact pressing
• Pulls live pricing from Discogs, eBay sold listings, and current active eBay listings
• Tracks total collection value over time in a portfolio-style chart
• Shows the specific variant you own (RSD exclusives, splatter, regional pressings) instead of a generic stock cover
• Wishlist, curated picks, profile customization, friend system

I know it’s a niche, but if anyone here happens to like vinyl I’d appreciate any feedback!

Made an IOS app to catalog vinyl collections

A friend and I made this over a few months because neither of us could find an app we liked for tracking our vinyl collections. Discogs has all the data but the Ul feels like a spreadsheet, and most other apps look like they were designed a decade ago.

We wanted something that actually felt modern, clean, fast, and made for phones. So we built Vinyl Portfolio. You can scan a record with your phone camera (cover, barcode, or catalog number or just search it up, and it identifies the pressing including variants like RSD exclusives, splatter, regional pressings, then tracks market value in a cool menu. There are other features as well like a wishlist, curated section, profile customization, and adding friends.
Just hit the App Store a few hours ago. Would love some feedback from other collectors!

Made a vinyl collection app for iOS, what would make it actually worth using alongside Discogs?

Hey r/discogs,
My friend and I made an app called Vinyl Portfolio about a week ago, a vinyl collection tracker for iOS. I’d love to hear
from other people who actually use Discogs day to day.

A few honest things up front:
•    Not trying to replace Discogs. We actually use the Discogs API for a lot of the search and pricing. The database is unmatched.
•    Built it because we got frustrated with Discogs and many of the other collection apps on the App Store. Apps were charging and actually making money for products that looked like they were built in 2012. That is when we knew we had to make something more featureful, bespoke, and modern for music collectors.
•    Around 40 users so far, still rough in places.

A couple of things we do that Discogs doesn’t:
•    Scan a record with your phone (barcode, cover, or even catalog) to pull in pricing from Discogs, eBay sold listings, and current active eBay listings.
•    Show the specific variant you own in your collection view, not a generic stock cover, because half the fun of collecting is the pressing on your shelf

What would help me most:
•    If you tried it, what’s the first thing that would make you bounce?
•    What does Discogs not do well that you wish a companion app would?
•    Brutally honest: does this even need to exist if you already use Discogs?
