Freshers from all schools, share your experiences after week 1 of classes!

All freshers, share what you liked the most and dislike the most. Give names of faculty and courses which have been chill and who has been a big no no and miss!

Let's not rant about hostel and other stuff. Pure academic feedback after week 1.

School of Design - Going downwards! No enrollment!!

I've been saying this to my batchmates for a while. Compared to a lot of design schools in India, the one at MU is all gimicky with absolutely no substance.

All that's done here whether it is projects or class room stuff is just social media content and all our Dean C cares about is how to promote it to get more students and get freebies from Mr. Anand Mahindra. Rumor is Mr. Mahindra isn't very thrilled with our Dean just showing stuff from his previous institutionand actually questioned the Dean about what is being done at MU!!!

It is a complete shit show how things are taught here. In the name of Innovation, all classroom pedagogy goes for a toss. Everything is expected to be done as a project with very little actual teaching done. The faculty are essentially just guiding your projects. Seems like an interesting model but the reality is none of the faculty are good enough to teach anything. They are all including the Dean running their business and startups and this almost seems like a side hustle they just drop in to do.

The numbers speak for themselves! Both UG and PG admission numbers are down from last year. The latest PG numbers are less than 5 confirmed admissions this incoming batch. If that doesn't speak much about whats happening, talk to the current batch of Masters students. Stay away if you have any other options from half decent places! I made a mistake and am stuck. Please be careful.

Change in HODs?

This is specific to the engineering school. A bird with ears in the downstairs office (IYKYK) mentioned to me earlier today that most of the engineering HoDs are going to be changed in August. This might be good news for a lot of the departments! Some of the HoDs are pure egoistic asshats! Very difficult to deal with especially when it comes to escalating issues about a course or getting permissions for internships! I am in ECE so you know who I am talking about!
