I’m looking for wading pants that I can also hike in. I like fishing alpine lakes and streams so waders that double as hiking pants would be perfect for me. I got a pair of Patagonia forra wading boots expensed from work so that part is covered.
I’ve read that Patagonia swiftcurrent pants fit what I’m looking for, but $500 (CAD) seems a little insane for waterproof pants. Anything a bit more affordable? I’m also not against carrying waders in my backpack as long as they’re lightweight and pack down pretty small.
I’m not big into the idea of wet wading, Alberta mountain waters might still be too cold temperature wise even in the summer, and leeches are plentiful
