Muscle imbalance due to badminton during a long gym break

I’ve been doing gym from an year, growth has been decent yet I had to take a break due to some personal reasons and during that period instead of gym I had played badminton…which surprised me with a decent shoulder imbalance and ive been finding it weird, I understand little imbalances but this one seems a lot because i wasn’t ready for my shoulder Imbalance as I’ve been focused on my shoulders since the initial days..
I’ve been gaining the momentum back with regular excercise and I need some solutions to this issue, I’ve seen many Reddit posts about imbalances hence I’ve been workin on it by performing unilateral excercises and using dumbbells..
I was wondering if giving some rest to the right shoulder for 2-3 weeks and training the left one, so that it could grow as close as the right one and then working on both shoulders together after 2-3 weeks..
I need a second opinion on these solutions
