I’ve been to Burning Man three times, but haven’t been back in the last ten years. Since I’m from Europe, the trip is quite a bit more expensive for me. I’ve calculated that I’d be looking at around $6–7k in total.
I miss the festival like crazy and really want to go back. However, with that budget, I’d have to travel by bus and camp, which I’ve never done before. On my previous Burns, I rented an SUV and slept in it, which was obviously much more comfortable.
If I rent an SUV again this year, the total cost would probably go up to around $8k — and spending that much for three weeks feels like a lot.
Would you go for it anyway because it’s Burning Man, or would you stay home at that price?
Curious what you guys would do.
