Found some high quality blackout badging

I wanted to black out the badging, and found these on Etsy. They’re not cheap, but they’re solid (metal I believe), high quality and easy to install right over the existing badging (no need to remove anything). I can’t speak for durability or longevity yet, but some of the reviews mentioned they had no issues. I have no affiliation with this, just passing along the info because it did the trick for me.

Two minor issues, anyone run into these?

I’ve had my 2026 GT Line for over a month now and it’s been amazing. There are two issues I’ve noticed and I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced them and found a remedy.

  1. The driver door handle sometimes feels sticky when opening, almost like the latch is stuck. It’s not persistent, it happens occasionally and it seems to be the only door where this occurs. I just have to pull with a little more effort, but I’d like to figure out what’s causing it.

  2. The interior is so quiet when driving, so it’s easy to hear any little rattle. I’ve noticed a rattle coming from the sunroof shade when driving over bumps or rough roads. If I push up a little on the shade, the noise stops, so it’s definitely coming from there. I just don’t know what specifically is causing that rattle, or how to fix it.

Anyone run into these?

Charging Current question

I set my Level 2 charger to 32A, based on some theories on how to mitigate potential ICCU issues. I also noticed there is a setting in the app and vehicle to set the “Charging Current” to 60%, 90%, or 100%. Do these two settings work in conjunction or does one supersede the other? For example, if I have my Level 2 set at 32A and the “Charging Current” set to 90% in the Kia app, is it charging at 90% of 32A?

What is this?

What is this part that doesn’t move along with the other active vents? It seems to be a cover for something, but I don’t think it’s removable. I noticed some black tape/adhesive sticking out (which I assume is for dampening or preventing rattling?).

I’ve been driving my 2026 EV9 GT-Line for just about 3 weeks now, and so far I’m beyond impressed and happy with it. I’ll share more about that at some point, but I’ll start with the nitpicks since that shouldn’t take nearly as long.

  1. When connected to CarPlay, pressing the mute button on the steering wheel mutes the volume but does not pause the music. This is not how most cars utilize this button. However, I noticed that when I was playing my Apple music via Bluetooth (CarPlay not connected), the mute button on the steering wheel performed as expected: when you mute music, audiobooks, podcasts, etc. it should also pause the playback. 🤦‍♂️
  2. There’s no “one touch” button for relaxation mode on any of the passenger seats. I feel like it makes more sense for the passenger seat than it does the driver seat. Is this just US model thing, because I could’ve sworn I saw Kia show it on the passenger side too. 🧐
  3. Sometimes my digital key (on my watch/phone) will unlock the car even when I’m not that close to it (for example, in my front walkway when my car was in the garage). I feel like this should only engage when within a foot of the door. 🤷‍♂️
  4. I’ve found the ventilated seat to be a bit weak compared to other cars I’ve had. 🥱
  5. There’s no way to have i-Pedal Max as the default regen mode. 👎
  6. When on the Home Screen, the compact navigation map is in dark mode (and there doesn’t seem to be an option to make it light). 🌞
  7. Why would any car maker put the charging port on the passenger side? I don’t get that. It should always be on the driver’s side.

That’s all I got so far.
