I cut on an Ultra Tec V5, but I want to ditch diagrams and try organic, freestyle faceting to maximize yield on unique rough—similar to how people use hand-piece.

If you successfully freestyle on a V5 by eye/feel, how do you do it?

Do you disengage the index to free-wheel the dop for sweeping facets?

Would love to hear your workflow or hacks to make a mast machine feel less restrictive.
