Can this be fixed?

We recently remodeled our kitchen and had the hardwood floors refinished throughout the first floor which was included in our project. The floor person did the kitchen floor first, dried, looked great, and then did the living room floor. The plastic sheet between the rooms was left up and he did not blend it probably between rooms. He did blend well between the kitchen and family room. In any event, our general contractor says he doesn’t want to “mess” with it as it could end up looking worse. Is that true? Are we supposed to accept it as is? Our house was built in 1962.

Law school graduation gift

My daughter‘s boyfriend just graduated from law school and will be starting at a large law firm in New York City. I would like to buy him a graduation gift and I was thinking some kind of a professional backpack or bag that he could carry to work. What kind of bags/backpacks do first year lawyers carry?

Table size- help!

Kitchen remodel nearing the end. We decided to keep our window seat and convert it into an eating area. We are at a standstill as far as size of table to get. I think a round pedestal table, but I am torn between which size between 52 inches - 60 inches and I am seeking some advice. The measurements of the benches are 52“ x 92“ and there is 10 feet between the longest bench and the refrigerator. Any suggestions an/or alternative idea appreciated.

Stateside Live - June 11

Has anyone been able to confirm if stateside live is open to the public on June 11 after the university commencement exercises? There is a large fundraiser going on there the same day and time, but I am trying to confirm whether there are parts of stateside live that are open to the public.
