First Class in The Books

I had my first Orangetheory class yesterday. I'm pretty unhealthy and out of shape. My experience with working out is virtually non existent. I thought Orangetheory would be a good way to get more active and get into shape. I guess I underestimated how out of shape I am, because my legs are jelly today and walking around is a chore 😅 I still signed up for membership despite my clear lack of experience, and I can see things getting easier as time goes on. I'm pretty excited to start this journey and thought joining this Reddit could help me along the way. So thank you for having me

What are the practical steps from idea to outline?

Hello everyone, I am a new member of this subreddit and am very excited to be a part of this community. My big first question - What are the first steps you take when you have an idea for a new piece you are writing? How do you go about working from idea to a story outline? I have plot ideas, character notes and an idea of how I would like the story to play out, but I've never written an outline before, nor have I written a novel of any kind. I mostly write short stories, but I really want to take a crack at writing a full length novel. Your advice and wisdom is greatly appreciated.
