Because what do you mean it's 107 outside and i got reprimanded for wearing knee length shorts while the ✨book floor girlies✨ can wear their cute summer dresses that are the same length or shorter. (Not to mention tank top style sleeves)

And then the cafe AC doesn't work as it is and they want to cut the air off as soon as we close so by the time I'm done sweeping mopping putting up chairs and THEN helping the book floor recover, I'm sweating head to toe. This is a fucking book store. Why are knee length shorts so offensive.

I'm just saying I'd love to see James fucking Daunt come scrub cafe base boards in his business casuals

Just what it says : we used to have a baristas favorite books themed display that I would rotate every month. Our regulars LOVED it. Our cluster lead visited a few months ago and told me to take it down because it made it look like "we were a bookstore that just happened to have a coffee shop"....

My customers keep asking me to bring it back and I'm just wondering if this is a cafe standard to not have book displays or if it's a preference of my CL
