Questions after Surgery
Hi!
I had my 2nd Pneumothorax like 2 weeks ago. (first one was left side, VAT's surgery with Stapled wedge resection & pleurectomy). Same happened with the 2nd one, Stapled wedge resection & pleurectomy. Now, after they took the drainage tube out, I had the feeling of bubbling and stuff like that (never had it at the left side after surgery and i was really scared). My doc said it is normal and will go away with time. Now today I really felt like something was off (no sharp pain or breathing problems, but the bubbling seems to be more than before). They did a X-Ray and can see a 2cm pneumothorax. I talked to the doctor that did the VATS on me and he said it is normal cause of the resection, as this part will most likely never 'fill' back, or if it will, it will take weeks if not months.
Does somebody have any similiar experience? I got sent home, but I am scared that something isn't right...
Thanks for your time
