Solo day trip from Srinagar in public transport — help a local out!
so i'm from srinagar and i want to actually spend a day alone and the idea i have is to go for a solo trip (in a day and back home). i have a few destinations but i am thinking about pahalgam. i have been there a lot with my family and friends, so i kinda know about that place but i haven't been their on my own. also, i wanna ditch private transport and go in a public transport or smth.
i know about the sumos from hyderpora chowk to anantnag and then onward to pahalgam. but i want to know more like which destinations can realistically be done as solo day trips from srinagar using sumos, buses or whatever is available?
i am specifically looking for:
where exactly the sumos/buses depart from (chowk, stand, etc.)
rough timings and fares
which places are actually doable in a single day and back
what things to take with you (a book, earphones, bag, lunch and what?)
just a peaceful place where there's river, wind and some time to ponder (and of course batte)!
any tips for travelling solo in these areas (i am a local but still any other tips you'd like to give)
i'm also thinking about sonamarg, yusmarg, doodhpathri (which among these serves the purpose of mine, if not pahalgam? i am open to suggestions). would love to hear from people who actually do this kinda thing!
