When are they going to tell us what Memory Points do?

When are they going to tell us what Memory Points do?

It’s kind of silly, I have 130,000 memory points at this point and have no idea what they are going to be used for or what the cap is. Any ideas here? I thought for sure with advanced jobs we would figure out the use for them but doesn’t seem like it.

Can someone drop some images of the Paladin vocation tree please!

I’m trying to decide between the two colors of the Paladin Memories on the S3 Gauntlet and large rainbow nodestones. Unfortunately I haven’t unlocked paladin but I am very close (51 thief/50 warrior/47 priest - I switched too late to get it upon release). I just want to spend my gauntlet tokens wisely. I already got one accessory and believe I will have 11,480 to spend left from what I can earn if I get to legend status so I’ll probably max the nodestones and choose a single paladin memory for this season and next season but want to see the perks on both colors.

Shoutout to my pre-adjustment team that beat Nightmare

If any of these folks are in here, great run (before the adjustment last night).

Man now I’m bummed I spent gems on stamina to complete the Paladin sheet

I know most people will rejoice about the extra time that just got added to the Paladin feat sheet but I’ll be damned if I didn’t just hardcore using all my stamina rush to complete it and only have 6 more S ranks and 4 more dronys to go and feel bummed. I spent the first two ranks of gems every day and all my stamina on the old ruins event at 10 stamina per story quest and 10x them for mass spamming low level S ranks for nothing. Actually pretty bummed out because I definitely could have been grinding nodestone colors over the weekend or even for my dang elusive big hammer memory.

Anyone else feel jipped?

Didn’t do a Boglehead thing and now need advise on quarterly taxes

So a bit of background: my company was bought and I also sold a rental house all in the past 9ish months so I moved a lot of money around last year. At the end of everything I had about $400k to put somewhere and I chose to put $250k in broad based index fund in my brokerage and gave myself $150k of “play money/high risk bucket.” Well my play money ended up working out and I finally couldn’t take it anymore and had to do some selling because it was all I was thinking about. I actually did it twice, once in Q2 and the other one was yesterday. That left me with a large tax bill and I have always only worked a W-2 job and really haven’t sold much throughout my adult life so last quarter and this quarter are going to be the first time in my life owing quarterly estimated taxes and I don’t know if I’m doing it right or even thinking about it right to maximize my time with my money 😅 before it goes to the IRS.

So my question, am I interpreting the safe harbor rules right for quarterly taxes (actual information below to help calculate). And the REAL question/advise - what would you do with the money between now and when taxes are due to make more with the bill money (or even set me straight, if the answer is do nothing).

Q1+Q2 short term gains: $50,000 (AGI Bracket - assumed 35% - $17,500)
Q1+Q2 long term gains: $35,500 (x15% =0.15 $5,325)
Total liability: $22,825
I made a payment to IRS for $20,000 on 6/15 thinking I’d have some itemized deductions so don’t pay the whole thing

Q3 short term gains: $223,500…….. yeah on $153,000 invested two months ago (I put it all in MRVL with a $128 cost basis). So what do I dooooo????? If I follow the same logic as above I owe $78,225 to the IRS.

In 2025, my total tax liability was $79,480 through my W2 job. To date through my job I have paid in $43,408. I made that $20,000 payment for Q2 totaling $63,408. Am I interpreting the safe harbor rule correctly that as long as I pay at least 110% of the prior year’s tax that even if I owe $50k I won’t have a penalty? So if I pay a total of $87,428 that I should be penalty free? So for my Q3 estimated taxes I should pay $87,428 (110% of 2025 tax) - $63,408 (what I’ve already paid) =$24,020 and let the other $54,205 (future that I owe) work for me until I owe the taxes officially next April 15th?

If all that checks out, what is the consensus, put it in VOO or VTI and then cash it when I need it, or put it in my Fidelity CMA at 3.75%?

If I had to, I could sell other things to cover the tax bill if it came down to it.

Thunderwyrm’s Earring & Anti-Freeze Earring

Are these worth it this gauntlet season? I’m not seeing a lot of longevity out of them with just HP and Deftness and a paltry 1% lightning damage.

I have crack arrows on multiple things (and from what I have gathered having two doesn’t do anything as they don’t compound) and I also have zap swords.

Any reason to get these versus maxing out the rainbow/colored crystals (note I have all the 10 cost job memories)?

Upgrading with Ascension+

So I only have four things at 40 equip/75 weapon but does anyone know about Ascension+ and do you have to merge a complete second fully ascended piece or I can add to it one at a time still?

Did they massively buff nightmare?

I was looking through the in game posts and content, couldn’t find my answer there. Did they massively ratchet up the nightmare difficulty for the new killing machine dungeon? I was getting to the boss before but now I somehow keep getting killed 20-28?

My team hasn’t changed, honestly it has gotten better so either I was a better player two days ago, or I have become super crappy since then.

Is it a bug that it has it greyed out if your character has an S rank memory equipped and also wanting to slot it in the vocation tree?

If I unequip it and put it in the tree, I can manually go back out and re-equip on the main three, but also tedious and sometimes I miss that it is an option. Trying to slot S rank Wrector in both on the martial artist tree.

Is anyone having the annoying issue of if they change anything on their character that their outfit toggle (on/off) turns off? I don’t like seeing headgear and use outfits pretty much all the time and it is dang annoying that any change to memories, gear or vocation toggles the outfit off and I need to go in and turn it back on. Do you think game devs designed this way or this is a bug?
