Not sure if a gap year is beneficial

Hi,I’m a 21 year old college student who is currently thinking about taking a year off .For background I’ve done 3 years of college but I have around 2 more years due to going to a community college and coming back to my uni aswell as switching majors .My passion is fashion design and I recently got accepted to Otis and parsons but deferred a year of studies due to cost ,and intend to save up to move to ny or La to continue my studies due to tuition being cut in half because I’m not dorming.
Due to the cost of these cities I’ve been thinking about just getting my gpa up at a community college so I can have more options like Drexel for fashion design or Temple for a marketing/advert or a film degree . As you can probably tell it’s hard for me to make up my mind .Ive tried to ask my parents for any advise and I just get ignored most of the time .Any advice would be appreciated

Accepted to parsons but conflicted

Hi,I recently got accepted to parsons and was wondering about if it’s worth it or should I just apply to fit, with the grants I got I would have to pay around 65ish a year as a transfer student .34 of my credits transferred but I’m still seen as a freshmen student which blows .Im lost on what to do since this is a big opportunity that I don’t want to give up but I also don’t wanna be over 200k in debt ! Any tips or things that I should consider or ways around this ?
