TA5M to 3-pin XLR Adapter?

I need to hard wire a few lavs and all of my lavs have TA5F output and I need TA5M to 3-pin XLR adapter. I know the Ambient Recording one but if there's more affordable adapter I'd rather go with that. If it's something I can do by myself that's an option too but I need some resources for that to how to wire etc.

Have to Use a Lav Mic Wired

Hi, there's this scene where I have to use a 2 lav mic wired all the way to the field recorder. There are 2 people in the scene one of them rarely moves and the other one moves quite a bit more (i.e. he walks around). I was thinking wiring them from their feet and fixing cable to the ground so that they can delete the cables with a clean plate later in the post. There's a little problem with this solution though. It's that the moving characters cable would be hard to fix in the post and I don't want to deliver anything hard to fix. What should I do?

Are Amphenol XLR Connectors Good?

There's this local brand that produces just lavalier microphones. In the last few years almost everyone in the industry started using them instead of COS-11Ds which was the most common lavalier before this local brand came up. Everyone seems to be happy with them and they're specs sheet is just fine compared to COS-11D. They're also a LOT cheaper than the COS-11Ds.

Here's the question: They have Amphenol XLRs built in and I was wondering if they're any good? Other than this I'm completely sold on them but since I'm going to use them mostly wired, connectors needs to be good enough for it.

What are the most creative uses of a C-Stands you saw/did?

As I'm preparing for a really low budget shoot I need to do a lot of things with just a few C-Stands. To tickle my brain and have some creative ideas I wanted to ask you if you have ever did something or saw someone did something so creative and helpful with a C-Stand aside from its initial use of holding flags etc.

Would a just thin regular cotton work as a diff?

I can get a rool of (120"x90") white cotton for free and I was wondering would it work just like muslin or silk. It's nothing fancy of a fabric you can think of cheap white tshirts if you want to example of the texture and quality.

I Forgot To Pack My Boom Holder!!!

I'm on a set right now and realized I didn't pack my boom holder. What I'm going to do? Is there a crappy DIY version of boom holder or something else to act as a boom holder?

Data Wrangling on MBA

So, I'm going to work on a project where I need to do some basic data wrangling. I've both Mac mini and MBA but with added screen, keyboard, and mouse that Mac mini brings with itself I'd rather carry my MBA. Since MBA has 2 ports I was wondering if using a hub viable option. If not what would you recommend me to do? There's 1 SSD that is recording the footage, 1 SSD to store all of the footage, and 2 HDDs to also store all of the footage.
