Laundry as a metaphor for her parenting
Just skimmed through the DITL. I stopped when she was dealing with the twins laundry. It would take her as much time to actually fold the clothes and as it took her to half fold then throw it in a pile. She then just haphazardly shoved all their clothes into the drawers.
No wonder they are overwhelmed when it comes to their clothes. Imagine trying to pick an outfit and your clothes are just all shoved in drawers and you don’t know where anything is. Everything is wrinkled. None of the socks are paired. Of course they struggle.
Her putting the twins laundry away demonstrates her entire parenting strategy. She is so lazy. There’s no love or care in anything she does for the kids. Everything is the bare minimum effort or just half assed entirely.
