What does it take to reverse course?
The team is in a free fall. Not only that they made just 1 point out of 4 games, 3 being at home, but they got outplayed badly. What do you guys think they should do to get back to winning at least some games?

Before the World Cup it looked like it was only a matter of how high we will be seeded. Now I am afraid not to miss the playoffs all together. unlike us, the teams behind us are on hot streaks in the league, but also in Leagues Cup. Portland won 5-2, RSL won 4-0, Dallas beat Chivas at PPP. In a league game Dynamo won 2-0 in New England. Nine points at stake in the week of 15th-22nd. I hope we make the best out of it otherwise we will drop significantly.
Chivas - Dallas game was fun. A little bit of a lucky win for Dallas, but they defended very well. The stadium was packed. Great atmosphere until Dallas scored toward the end. Pleasant surprise to see Daniel there.
First he did racism in New England. Then he got rid of our Latinx players! Now he brings in a white guy straight from the Epstein island! Next match bring #ArenaOut and #GWOut banners. Make the Quakes Front Office Accountable!
Tonight, as I was leaving The Stud in SF, I was approached by two individuals wearing Sac Republic scarves. They yelled "F-k Oakland" - I was proudly wearing my Roots jersey - then pushed me to the ground and kicked me in the ribs. Luckily, the security guard from The Stud saw the commotion and ran out of the bar, the two punks disappearing into the night. I ger the rivalrly between our teams, but there is no excuse for violence. Do better, Sacramento!
Last season we had an amazing start. Then Bruce decides to get rid of a player who plays an important position, but who is also well liked in the locker room: Hernan. Everything falls apart after. Locker room atmosphere deteriorates, no good players are being brought in the summer window and despite a couple of results at the end, we missed the playoffs.
This season we had an amazing start. Things slow down once Niko gets hurt, but with a win in Portland, we finished the first part of the season high in the standings and hopeful. Then Bruce decides to get rid of a player who plays an important position but who is also well liked in the locker room: Daniel. Everything falls apart. Locker room atmosphere deteriorates, no good players are being brought in the summer window. We lose 2/3 games and tie one at home, giving up 9 goals.
Is the rest of the season a deja-vu? Outside of Niko's much anticipated and needed comeback, what else do you guys think can turn things around and salvage this season?
Is he doing enough to promote the Quakes brand and to assure the Quakes will never leave SJ? Do you think he has the power to attract and facilitate the take over of the team by a big time owner who can re-imagine the Quakes and run them completely different than the far right zionist John Fisher?
What do you think he is doing well and what do you think he can do better?
As a proud, but heartbroken owner of the Roots, I would suggest a colab with the Earthquakes. Not as a long term plan, because #FJF, but as an emergency solution to avoid what might shape into the death of our beloved team. While not in Oakland, the Quakes have a nice facility and the rental cost would be significantly lower than the Coliseum's. I think that cost can be negotiated down if the Quakes would be given the first option to develop/purchase the most talented Roots youngsters. Another benefit for the Quakes would be the much needed booat in diversity that the Roots would provide and that is so much needed for the San Jose Earthquakes, where Bruce Arena is destroying the progress made there in the last several years.
I am aware that Bruce prefers American players, but I miss the creativity and passion that Latinx players bring. They can also help with tickets sales, as Latinx fans comprise the vast majority of soccer fans in the Bay Area.
...that John Fisher is the worst owner in MLS! Save the win in Portland, this team has been struggling since April. Instead of adding some solid players to improve, they traded off a very solid GK for a questionable one - so far - and brought in a sub for Judd. While that was needed, we also needed 2 or 3 players who can make a difference. At this time, our only hope is that Timo gets back into pre-injury form and Niko returns soon. It reminds me of the very poor summer transfer we had last year which ended up costing us a playoff spot.
There are only 12 points between us and the first place below the line with plenty of games to be played. A few more performances like the ones we had this past week and we will quickly drop to our usual position, under the line.
Fuck John Fisher!
I feel like every year the attendance and buzz are diminishing. To me Stanford feels more like a neutral venue. Hard to get to, hard to find parking and a lot of walking around. Not much of a home field advantage. The atmosphere at a Quakes - Galaxy at PPP would be electric, Galaxy would be under way more pressure than they are ar Stanford.
What do you guys think?
The guy was brought in to be Judd's backup. With Judd being out on Saturday, it's his time to shine. Hopefully a better debut than Gunn's. The question is: is he healthy? The fact that he was not on the bench last night is concerning
With Daniel gone, Gunn will for sure be the starter. I assume Luka will be a sub for Judd. With Timo back in the starting 11, I doubt Darius will start, but I can see him getting significant minutes.
Are you guys happy with the new additions? Is this roster capable to fight for the MLS cup, or you would like to see more new players before the window closes?
