“The Table Community Foundation” in Stockton, California Operates as a “DevilCorp” and exhibits cult like behavior!

Here is their website: https://thetablecf.org

“The Table Community Foundation” cannot even keep their official address up to date and are constantly changing it which sends up red flags. When walking into their office (which is not correctly posted on their website) it looks like they just moved in, even though they straight up told me they had been at that office for two years already. I asked them why they never updated their website’s physical address and they couldn’t give me a straight answer. I found that odd. When trying to contact via phone, nobody ever answers and an interested job seeker or a client is asked to leave a message. A live person has never answered their official phone number on their website. Same goes with the employees, they make it difficult to get through to a live supervisor and force employees to rely on leaving a message or sending an email and hoping for a response.

I am writing this to raise concerns about an organization called “The Table Community Foundation” in Stockton, California is an organization that appears to show a pattern of behavior that fits many of the warning signs people associate with “DevilCorp” type organizations! Especially when it comes to recruitment practices, labor conditions, and how they operate inside our schools. This is a California based organization that I worked at here in California, so I don’t know how other states allow these third party programs to operate. I myself had a horrible experience with this company and it’s concerning that these third party organizations operate freely within our schools with little oversight and recruit employees using “DevilCorp” type tactics.

Here are the facts, this company presents itself as a nonprofit community-based after-school childcare program, but based on my experience and conversations with others, there are serious concerns that deserve more attention and possibly investigation. Some of the issues that I have witnessed and reported are, employees having being expected to purchase supplies/materials out of pocket. Chronic understaffing that reportedly leaves programs struggling to stay compliant with state childcare ratios and regulations. There is little training provided to staff before being placed in charge of children.

The recruitment methods that they use to rope in employees are very misleading or dishonest. Hiring extremely young and inexperienced workers (18–19 years old) into childcare roles with minimal preparation or supervision or even the proper schooling that the state requires. As a staff member myself this company denied myself and other employees legally mandated 10 minute breaks during our shifts when we are required to be on our feet all day.
On top of that there is purposefully manipulation with employee time sheets on their end by taking time out of their pay and when asked about it they say “our system is new we will fix it” but never do, and when approached about it again they get angry and say “it’s the employees fault for not clocking in properly” when there clock in program is clearly not collaborated at all.
Public schools sadly providing facilities while the organization appears to operate with limited oversight

What’s especially concerning is that this company operates directly inside schools while branding itself as a nonprofit serving the community. Meanwhile, employees are paid low wages, lack of support, lack of supplies, and constant staffing shortages.

If these concerns are accurate, then government funding intended for children and community programs should be going towards proper staffing, compliance and child care regulations, appropriate employee training, fair wages and a safe work environment. Instead, many workers feel the organization prioritizes expansion and recruitment over actual program quality and employee support.

Parents, school districts, and labor regulators should pay closer attention to third party organizations operating on school campuses especially ones that rely heavily on inexperienced workers, high turnover, and aggressive recruiting while presenting themselves as community nonprofits.

If others have worked for or dealt with this organization, or non profit afterschool programs like this, I’d be interested in hearing whether your experience was similar. Programs involving children should be held to a very high standard, and concerns about staffing, compliance, and worker treatment should never be ignored.

I am a UOP Senior Seeking Part-Time Employment In Office Administration or Education.

I am currently a senior status undergraduate student at the University of the Pacific pursuing my B.A. in Education, with an expected graduation date of May 2027. I am seeking a part-time summer position or internship consisting of approximately 20 hours per week.

My availability is limited to weekdays only, during mornings through very early afternoons. I am NOT available during the early evenings or on weekends or holidays.
I have extensive experience in office administration, including bookkeeping, receptionist duties, administrative assistant work, scheduling, customer service, and general office support.

In addition, I have experience working with students in educational settings through tutoring and classroom support for K–12 students.
Through my university program, I have gained teaching experience and currently hold CTC clearance through the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, which allows me to participate in hands on classroom experience within public schools during the upcoming school year.

I am interested in opportunities related to:
Education and tutoring.
Classroom support or instructional aide positions
Administrative or office work.
Receptionist or clerical support.
Educational internships.
I am dependable, organized, hardworking, and eager to continue building professional experience while completing my degree. Again let me make it clear I am available during the mornings to early afternoons only and not available on the weekends of holidays.

While I am open to both educational and administrative opportunities, my preference is office and administrative work where I can utilize my organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

I’m wondering if anyone here in Stockton knows how to make a front or back porch catio for cats and it’s successfully worked. I have seven cats and live in a house that is a rental in the county area (Garden Acres). I have a large back patio (and front patio possibly) that I would like to turn into an outdoor safe haven for my cats. A place where they can get their sun, lay in the grass, grow some cat safe plants like catnip. I’m neurotic about letting them wander too far because there can be predators out there, for example wild dogs, birds or prey, crazy humans and cars on the road. It is very healthy to have a cat outside safely though in a cat like environment. Has anyone successfully built a catio before that works and can easily be taken down when I move? If so how is it done to keep it escape proof?
