Azelaic acid and tretinoin

Hi, I’m a 30-year-old man. I’ve never really had acne problems throughout my life, but this year I started noticing acne on my forehead. The pimples would appear, then go away, but after a while the same spots would become inflamed and come back again.

I started using Acnelyse 0.05% (tretinoin) in March and continued until the beginning of June. Since I didn’t feel like it was making much of a difference, I switched to Azelderm 20% (azelaic acid). I’ve been using it for about two months now, but I don’t think that’s making much of a difference either.

What kind of routine should I follow at this point? Should I go back to tretinoin, continue with azelaic acid, or use them together? I’d really appreciate some advice.
My current routine
Am - bioderma sunscreen
Pm - cerave cleanser , azelderm aa (%20) , cerave moisturizer
P.s : in second photo i was not using anything that was march first day
