I am Indian but do not live in India. I genuinely do not know what our generation in India thinks about gold? Are we accumulating jewellery or coins?

Outside India, I don’t get to wear my jewellery often(maybe once or twice a year at most) and gold coins are a hassle to move across countries.

But I also don’t want to be left behind in terms of accumulating enough. What is a good amount to target and in what proportions of jewellery/coins?

I am curious about how much gold an average Indian household has?
