ever since i got into watches, the milgauss was always the rolex i wanted. not the loudest or the most popular, just the one that stood out to me the most.
originally created by rolex in the 1950s for scientists and engineers working around strong magnetic fields, the milgauss was built to resist up to 1,000 gauss, which is where the name came from. it became one of the most unique watches rolex ever made, and after being discontinued in 2023, it felt even more special to finally own one.
after years of admiring it from afar, i can finally say this is my first rolex ⚡
