What tells you that your health is improving?

Hi everyone,

For people managing prediabetes, what tells you that your health is improving between doctor appointments?

Blood tests are obviously important, but they don't happen every week.

Do you rely on:

  • symptoms?
  • energy levels?
  • weight changes?
  • blood pressure?
  • sleep?
  • exercise performance?
  • wearable data?

I'd love to hear what people trust the most.

What tells you that health is improving between doctor visits?

Hi everyone,

One thing I've been thinking about lately is how people know whether their health is improving between doctor visits.

Blood work and A1c tests are obviously important, but they usually happen every few months.

What tells you that you're moving in the right direction between appointments?

I'd love to hear what people personally pay attention to. Thanks!

What tells you that your health is improving between doctor appointments?

Hi everyone,

For people managing Type 2 diabetes, what tells you that your health is improving between doctor appointments?

Blood tests are obviously important, but they don't happen every week.

Do you rely on:

  • symptoms?
  • energy levels?
  • weight changes?
  • blood pressure?
  • sleep?
  • exercise performance?
  • wearable data?

Are there any signals that strongly correlate with your blood work over time?

I'd love to hear what people trust the most. Thanks!

Understanding whether my metabolic health is actually improving?

Hi all,

One thing I've been struggling with is understanding whether my metabolic health is actually improving or getting worse between blood tests.

Most people only check HbA1c every few months, and CGMs aren't something everyone wants to wear all the time.

For those trying to improve or reverse prediabetes, how do you track your progress between doctor visits?

Curious what people have found useful. Thanks!

What are the signals that you're moving in the right direction?

Hi all,

I'm curious whether people notice certain signals changing before blood tests improve.

Are there any things you pay attention to between doctor visits that help you understand whether you're moving in the right direction?

Thanks!

What are the signs that something was changing before diagnostic?

Hi all,

Question for those who have been diagnosed with prediabetes or Type 2 diabetes.

Looking back, were there any signs that something was changing before your diagnosis?

For example:

  • lower energy,
  • worse sleep,
  • changes in resting heart rate,
  • HRV,
  • activity tolerance,
  • weight gain,
  • anything else?

I'm curious whether wearables can capture any useful signals, or whether most people only find out once blood work shows a problem.

Would love to hear your experience.

Early Warning Signs

Hi everyone,

I've been trying to figure out whether there are any practical early warning signs of worsening metabolic health before prediabetes shows up in blood work.

For those who use wearables (Apple Watch, Garmin, Fitbit, Oura, etc.), have you noticed any metrics that seem to correlate with periods when your health was improving or getting worse?

What signals do you trust the most?

Thanks for any insights.

can modern wearables tell about prediabetes risk

Hi all,

Maybe I'm overthinking this, but I've been wondering whether modern wearables can tell us anything meaningful about prediabetes risk.

I've read a few articles suggesting links between metabolic health and things like HRV, sleep quality, resting heart rate, and recovery metrics.

Has anyone here actually tried tracking these signals?

Did they tell you anything useful, or did you find that blood work was really the only thing that mattered?

Curious what people's experiences have been.

Prediabetes suggested by wearables

Hi all,

Type 2 diabetes runs in my family, so I've always assumed I'm probably at higher risk as well.

I've been wondering whether wearables can provide any useful clues before blood sugar issues become obvious. Things like HRV, resting heart rate, sleep quality, recovery, etc.

Has anyone here noticed changes in their wearable data before being diagnosed with prediabetes or Type 2 diabetes?

Or is it mostly noise?

Curious to hear your experiences.
