Now that Ben is back from Station 19, I'm really curious about what the plans are for his character. His future still seems undecided, especially by the end of Season 22, and I can't help wondering what the situation is behind the scenes.

Does anyone know what kind of contract Jason George has to come back as a regular After station 19 cancelation ? And does anyone know if he's particularly close to someone on the production team?

I'm also wondering if there's a reason the writers seem so reluctant to make a clear decision about Ben's future. Is it simply because they really like working with the actor and want to keep the option of having him around, even if they don't have a long-term storyline planned for him?
