They make such good knives that are immediately discounted by a huge swath of the market for trying to be something they're not. Why don't they use their own marks and eliminate one of the biggest complaints about clones? Seems like that also might give them the confidence to make some different choices on frames and scales, maybe add some features to dated designs.
I'm looking into starting a whole home project with a small set up that will just defray energy costs as I can afford to add panels, batteries, and potentially parallel control units/inverters. I'm struggling to find something that actually blends solar/battery with grid power that isn't very large and expensive, and I'd very much appreciate a more experienced opinion.
I'm eyeing the EG4 12000 kpv as my "end game" inverter as it seems to do everything I want, but it's pretty expensive and I'm not going to have the panels or batteries to leverage even a portion of it for quite some time. If it helps, I'm trying to scale to a 5+kwh system with a max surge of 13800w from my heat pump.
Are there better ways to start this project than going whole hog on one big inverter and backfilling the panels and storage?
