From what I can gather, this is a film that gathered very mixed reviews.

But? I decided to finally watch this film after years of being sat on the list and some recommendations from Twitter.

While I believe there is a stunning and perfect 20 minute short film in that opener, and the film does go for a little too long, my overall enjoyment of the film cannot be understated as a tense genre piece with an unique and terrifying premise and feels like a firm 4/5.

What are the horror community thoughts on this film?

Just watched this film and, honestly, it’s a good film but the title does it a massive disservice. Call it ‘Tomb of the Dead’ or ‘Evil Dead Crypt’ given the overall deadite feel of this film.

This film in no way feels like ‘The Mummy’ and changing the tile would make this film at least 20% better. Saying that, the parents deserve hell for letting their decrepit daughter into the house in the first place
