Pumpkin source

Looking for recs on good places to get pumpkins and decorative gourds (that are not astronomically priced). Ashcombe and Oak Grove are my normal places but they are a little expensive and I'm wondering what else is out there.

B7 AC issue: can of worms?

Looking for some opinions. My beloved 06 3.2 Quattro is in excellent condition and drives great, I've had it for the past 8 years and am struggling to believe it's 20 now! 158k miles, 50k of them mine. Have kept up routine maintenance and it's gotten some repairs over the years, of course. I'm planning on driving it until something not worth fixing happens.

However, it has an AC issue. Over the past two to three years it's had a slow leak that's seemed to get progressively worse. I've been topping it off but noticed it's leaking out faster. A month ago, my usual Audi shop, which is very trustworthy but tends to dismiss minor issues, said they couldn't see any UV tracer and to continue topping it off. I then went on a long trip and the AC worked the whole time, but when I got home and went out the next time, the compressor wouldn't engage at all. Level was very high on the low side with the engine off so I knew it was beyond my resources and took it to a new shop that was recommended for diagnostics for European vehicles.

They confirmed the compressor is getting the signal to turn on and has the correct refrigerant level (they evacuated and recharged the system) but the clutch is not engaging. They checked for UV tracer in other common leak areas but didn't see any evidence, however, of course they can't get the system to run for further diagnostics.

They recommended replacing the compressor. My concern is there will still be a leak elsewhere and I'm especially concerned about the evap core since that is also a very expensive repair.

I thought others may have experience dealing with AC issues in B7s. Should I do the compressor and hope it was the source of the leak? Of course AC isn't essential but I live in a place with hot summers and driving without it is pretty miserable. With nothing else wrong with the car, I'm inclined to do it.

Thanks for any input

Looking for friends

Hi all, my spouse and I moved to the area at the beginning of the year and we're looking to make some new friends.

A little about us: some of our interests include old houses, hiking, kayaking, gardening, historical research, antiques, pottery, and travel. We like to meet up with friends for an adventure, check out a new restaurant or brewery, or have backyard drinks and conversation in the evening. We are in our mid 30s with 2 cats and no kids, but we're open to being friends with anyone!

If we sound like the kind of friends you're looking for too, feel free to send me a DM.

New toilet draining sounds after fill

I installed a new Kohler Highline toilet. After flushing it fills normally and cuts off, but for the next 30 seconds to a minute it will make intermittent draining sounds ranging from a trickle to a small stream. The float is adjusted so the water level cuts off half an inch below the flush valve rim. The fill tube is firmly connected. I checked there's no debris in the flush valve gasket and the gasket isn't warped or pinched. The tank level doesn't go down and it doesn't ghost flush. I'm wondering if it's a venting issue but the vent lines from basement to attic were just replaced, everything else drains fine, and the old toilet didn't have this issue. Any ideas?
