This is Westwell Biorefineries, a large ethanol plant in Gopalganj, Bihar.

I live a few kilometres away from this factory. For years, people living near it have had to deal with a strong foul smell that often spreads several kilometres during normal windy conditions. Many residents also complain about breathing discomfort and irritation when the smell becomes intense.

I am not claiming any violation by the company. I am simply asking: are the emissions, odour, and wastewater being monitored properly? Has any independent air or water quality testing been done around nearby villages?
