My grandmother's funeral was Thursday and she had a Catholic mass. She chose 'Shepherd me o god' as one of her songs and I was vibing along and then it hit me: 'this is teyla's song.'

Later, my brother said the mass reminded him of an episode of Atlantis and I asked and he confirmed that he also thought the same.

Catholicism is wild, couple hours of ritualistic cannibalism. My funeral will be a viewing of my favorite episodes of SG1: Window of Opportunity for funsies and 'the shrine' from Atlantis for a more sobering reminder of our mortality and the importance of family.

Atlantis is my comfort show and I've rewatched it enough times that when I watch an episode of SG1 I can tell which scores are heavily used in Atlantis. Could probably clock the scene if I tried hard enough.

Dunno if anyone else can relate.
