Advice on finding readers for immigrant memoir
I just joined here because I'm need some help and genuinely curious what this community thinks.
Immigrant family memoirs — especially ones that center on women, multicultural adaptation, and the experience of arriving in America with nothing — seem like they should have a natural, hungry audience. But I'm finding that audience is hard to locate online. They're not necessarily in the usual book spaces. AI tells me to turn to TikTok— I absolutely don't think that's my audience.
For those of you who read in this space and like memoirs such as these— where do you actually discover books like this? What communities, forums, newsletters, or channels brought you to the memoirs that resonate with you?
Not looking to market hard. I just want the overall message to get to the right readers.
