Looking for cartridge recommendations JVC JLB31
Haven’t played LP’s in 20+ years but have a collection of over 400 that were purchased from the late 60’s until probably the very early 90’s. For the past 20 years it’s been CDs and flac files. We (the wife and myself) want to include the LP’s in our listening sessions so we have decided to dip our toes back into vinyl. We had considered buying a new turntable but decided to hold off on the expense being unsure if we will stick to playing LP’s. We have an old JVC JLB31 that’s been in a box in the garage since we acquired it from a friend 25 years ago. No headshell, no cartridge. Sold our old Technics years ago. Anyway looking for a decent cartridge to bring the JVC back to life. It will run through an old Adcom GFP-555 and an Adcom GFA-555. Both are early USA produced. Budget for cartridge and headshell is around $200 + or -. Open to suggestions.
