Being "Double-Souled"

I came across this footnote in the Recovery Version Bible that stood out to me:

"God made man only one soul, with one mind and one will. When a believer doubts in prayer, he makes himself double-souled, like a boat with two rudders, uncertain in direction. Faith in prayer also is a virtue of practical Christian perfection." James 1:8 Footnote 1

I really like the illustration of a boat with two rudders. There is no way for that boat to reach its destination! Likewise, we have to have faith in our prayer, otherwise doubts creep in; and we become aimless, double-souled. My prayer now is for the Lord to be our faith in our prayer for us to receive God's blessings in a straightforward way, without any doubts.

Entering into rest (Hebrews 4)

I've been appreciating Hebrews 4 in regards to how the writer reveals that Joshua is a type of Christ, who is leading the children of Israel (who are a type of the church) into the good land. The good land is called "that rest" in verse 11.

"Let us therefore be diligent to enter into that rest lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience." (Hebrews 4:11) Recovery Version.

I asked myself, "I'm already saved, so why don't I experience Christ as my rest?" But verse 11 gives the reason why this is the case. Disobedience, which can also be translated as "rebellion." I realized how much I rebel against God's word like the children of Israel. If I cannot experience Christ as my Savior and my Rest right now, how can I enter into the rest in the millennial kingdom? My prayer is that I would experience Christ as my Joshua! May the Lord be our Savior in all the big and small things in our daily lives that we may enter into rest for the coming age. Amen

I’ve been following along in the most recent Morning Revival on Experiencing, Enjoying, and Expressing Christ (4), and I’m confused about this outline point: “Resurrection is the lengthening of the Lord’s days; He will exist forever and ever in His resurrection.” What verse in the Bible says that resurrection is the lengthening of the Lord’s days?
