What backpacks do y’all recommend?

I need to get a backpack for school and I know I will most likely need a waterproof/water resistant one. What water resistant backpacks do y’all recommend?

Does anyone know if I can upgrade my intermediate WA license to a standard license if I’m unable to physically go to a WA DMV?

I’m 18 and I have an intermediate license from the state of Washington. I know that technically my license doesn’t have any restrictions on it now that I’m 18, but the driver license office here still won’t accept it and issue me a new license because it says “intermediate” on it. I’ve tried emailing the WA DMV and calling them, but every time I do they’re always full and unable to help me. Google and the WA DMV website aren’t able to answer my question and give me conflicting answers. Does anyone here know if I’m able to upgrade my intermediate WA license to a full standard license without having to visit a physical WA DMV office? Can they just mail me my card? Sorry if this is a confusing question- please let me know if you require any further information or clarification! Thank you!

Will I still have a good chance of getting the classes I want on the last day of A&R?

I’m an incoming freshman and I am currently living in Korea. In order to attend the A&R zoom meeting, I’d have to pull an all-nighter, so I’m considering signing up for the latest possible slot in September so I won’t have to stay up all night just to register for classes. Before I decide to reschedule, I was wondering if anyone else whose gone through the A&R before could tell me if doing the A&R earlier or later had an impact of what classes were available. Were most of the classes you needed or wanted to take still available later on in the sessions, or would you advise signing up for the earlier A&R time slots so more classes are available before they’re full? Thanks!

Math Placement Test

I heard that I have to do a math placement before I being at Western, and I was wondering what I should expect and/or ways I should prepare. I am very bad at math so I want to do well enough to not have to take any extra math classes. Thanks!

I don't really want to take a gap year, but I feel like I should because I'm unclear on my career goals and I haven't been able to secure many scholarships. I want to work to earn money for college and gain some financial independence, but I know the job market is really bad right now and I'm worried I won't be able to get a job. I'm also concerned that I will become isolated and lonely, since I have to move to a new place immediately after I graduate highschool, and I feel like it'll be really difficult to make new friends outside of a structured school environment. How do you guys deal with these issues? Are you able to make new friends outside of a school environment? Was it difficult to get a job? Will taking community college classes help to maintain academic momentum?
