Can’t reliably take pill, other options good for skin?

I went on the Lucette combined pill 4 years ago for acne and my skin cleared up within a few months - my GP recommended this one for skin. I have been on it ever since and hadn’t been sexually active, however I am now.

My issue is I have (suspected, waiting for assessment) ADHD and just cannot take the pill reliably at all; for the past 4 years i’ve probably missed it as many times as I’ve taken it on time. (I have 2 apple health notifications and have recently added an alarm and a Flo notification).

Now I’m actually using it as contraception I’m worried it’s not going to be effective and I’m already paranoid about being pregnant. I also missed 3 in my first week last month and have been spotting ever since so I’m not sure it’s still working for me.

I’m worried that if i switch to another option that is longer term like the patch or injection that my acne will come back.

Does anyone have experience/ knowledge on non-pill hormonal options that have the same effect on skin?

I have a pill review tomorrow and want to know if there’s anything I can say to them more specifically. Last year at the review I told them I wasn’t taking it properly and they said it’s fine if it’s not contraception.

For extra context I take it for about 3 months at a time as per my doctors advice as I don’t want to break every month.
