work accommodation request denied

hello, i am wondering what next steps i should take. i am diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea and idiopathic hypersomnia/narcolepsy type 2. i have a very long commute and driving feels unsafe at times due to my sleep inertia and eds. i requested a flexible start and end time at work, which i felt was a “reasonable accommodation” because i am a social worker/case manager and we already have staggered start times. i went through the proper channels and involved hr, but unfortunately our hr is a third party. the request came to my boss and she denied it. she told me (verbally) that she can’t let me have a flexible start time because “everyone else would want that too and be late.” i feel that this isn’t a valid reason and that she is not understanding my sleep disorders/disabilities. i know that osa is not technically a disability, nor is idiopathic hypersomnia, but narcolepsy is. i honestly feel very upset about this and i don’t know what to do. i don’t want to be difficult, but just forcing myself to function daily is difficult.

vyvanse and modafinil — too much?

hello! i’ve been prescribed to take 200mg modafinil once per day by my sleep doctor (IH diagnosis) and 40mg vyvanse once per day by my psychiatrist (adhd diagnosis). both doctors said it was OK to take together as long as i get regular echocardiograms. my most recent echo was normal. this combination of meds works perfectly for me and it has been life-changing in regards to keeping me awake during the day, but recently i have been feeling like i’m on too many stimulants. my anxiety symptoms have been extreme and my blood pressure has been high. i’ve reduced my caffeine intake and quit vaping, so all roads seem to lead to being on two stimulants. however, taking vyvanse alone wasn’t enough to keep me awake and taking modafinil alone didn’t seem to be enough either. i really need some advice on which med i should get rid of, or if i should bother.
