Hi, I'm going to ask a quick question about Webform.

I recently submitted 2 webforms, basically one webform each week. One of them is for submitting updated materials (even though they didn't ask me to do that, but my invitation letter has been updated to include another workshop), and another one is an inquiry about the application process since it is close to my travel date. However, neither of them got a reply, and there is no update in my application system (I used the new portal; if I submitted the file, there would be an update in the application history)

Before that, I also sent another two webforms and received similar, but helpless replies.

So, my question is: is this normal that they choose to ignore the webform, or have they already flagged my application as a kind of annoying application

Application background: Chinese student in the UK, submitted on 3rd May, biometrics on 7th May, application stuck in background check. The two previous replies are also attached.

Here are the details about myself: Chinese, student at the University of Southampton, planning to go to Canada for a conference (2-8 August), submitted the invitation letter and event code of the conference, and applied for a business visitor visa from the UK.

I submitted my application on 3rd May using the IRCC new portal and submitted my biometrics on 7th May in London, and I saw an update on 29th May saying the Background check status was updated to in progress (before that, it was also showing in progress, but without the above update), and the Eligibility suddenly changed to complete. Since then, there has been no update for my application.

I made some searching and found lots of applicants have a similar status change (an update saying the Background check status is updated to in progress), and they all confirmed they are in the security background check. I'm wondering if there are others has the similar experience, and any suggestions for what I could do. I really want to attend that conference and am currently very anxious.
