Back to work!!

Hello everyone,

Some good news, I am back to work after a year! I (33f) got diagnosed with aml last year in August, after having chemo and being currently on maintenance, I am able to start working again. I am not happy that I have to work dont get me wrong but at least I am back to normal. I started going to the gym also. I still have body aches, sleeping issues, nausea and trouble with the maintenance pills, but my depression has been improving after I started getting support and medication. I still don’t like my hair being short but it is growing. Things are not bad as I thought it would. I still dont know how I got lucky to survive this and what I am supposed to this luck with while people are still going through chemo and cancer and pain but I am praying for all of us everyday.

Anyone else have H. pylori diagnosed alongside AML?

Hey everyone, wondering if this rings a bell for anyone here.

I heard about someone who went to the doctor with a stomach ache that only lasted 3 days, and it turned out he had both H. pylori and AML. My situation was similar but slower, my stomach pain dragged on for about 3 months before doctors finally figured out I had H. pylori and AML together.

Has anyone else had these two show up around the same time? I’m curious if there’s some connection between them, or if it’s just a coincidence that keeps popping up

Depression

I 33F got diagnosed with cancer 2025 August, did induction and on remission now with first dose of maintenance.

I feel like I survived something that I was not supposed to. By mistake. Probably my family supported me so well that I did not die when I should. I can’t feel anything but pain of being alive. I do not enjoy anything.

I feel so ugly with my short hair, I lost all my muscle weight and have so much fat that I look like a chubby boy. I am so depressed that I can’t take care of myself and try to be a nice beautiful women. Nobody is looking at me anymore I don’t look attractive at all.

I feel like I don’t worth anything. I don’t know how I will go back to work, how I will continue with my social relationships when I see no worth in myself. Thats why I am not expecting people to be nice to me and I dont want to talk to anyone.

I will never have a family of my own because I have to continue with maintanance maybe even 5 years, if I want to have a child I have to wait 2 yrs after treatment they said. I do not want to have a child that late.

I supposed to my anti depressants but I am not taking them because I don’t think they worked. I feel like I have really nothing and I don’t know how to take myself out from here.

I think I am dead inside.

It is my first dose of onureg 300 mg, has been using for 9 days. Cant keep any food down, no appetite, constant abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomitting and nausea. Does this get easier?
