Exofleets, or Space Navies in 2328

Exofleets, or Space Navies in 2328

With the advent of advanced rocket technologies came the increased militarization of space. Many nations would jump on the exofleet bandwagon, especially during the Salvation Wars. Now, at the start of the biggest post-vanishing conflict, here is how the nations of the world stack up militarily in space.

Note - this only represents the major state actors. Non-state powers with private fleets such as Imperial Group or various space pirate factions are not represented.

A Semi-Comprehensive Guide to the State of Erie

Hello! Two Erie posts in a day, huh. Anyways, back to the UFRA's greatest new state. Separated in 2350 in the Great Lakes Reorganization Act, Erie is one of the UFRA's most unique states.

The Counties of the State of Erie

Erie is a newly-created state in the UFRA, composing most of the territory of the pre-vanishing state of Ohio. It's capital is in Sandusky, with it's territory divided into 13 counties. Some notable cities and counties in the above image include:

  • Suria county/Toledo, one of the few locations in the UFRA with a plurality of Arab-Americans. Of note is the magnificent Unity Mosque, created to celebrate the integration of Toledo into the UFRA.
  • Cedar county/Sandusky, the capital of Erie. The majority of vanishing survivors in Erie originate from Cedar Point, the new hub of Sandusky.
  • Islands county, the quaint, smallest county in Erie.
  • Maritime county/Port Cleve, a city separated by state lines but united in the same vein as Kansas City IRL.
  • Gonzalez county/Scioto - Scioto is technically the largest city in Erie if you only count Erie's half of Port Cleve. It's very different culturally to the northern half of the state and is generally viewed as more belonging to the Southern UFRA.

All of this and more makes up the great state of Erie!

The Farthest Sea | Part 1

MISSION PROFILE FOR THE BAHARI l MISSION

November 9th, 2319
Bahari l comprises two separate space vehicles, to be constructed in lunar orbit by a mix of Zanji-government administered and independent Indonesian firms. The destination of said vehicles is to be the Neptunian moon of Triton, as well as the inner moons of Proteus, Larissa and Galatea. Robotic exploration vehicles, to be requisitioned from the Zanji Space Administration (UNZ), will be dispatched to the other minor moons to conduct scientific work in parallel to the Ibn Rushd space probe.

The crew of 8 will be transported to Neptune by the spaceship Emmanuel Hamisi, powered by a high-powered fusion engine. The transit to Triton shall take 19 months, after which the 3-month stay on the surface of Triton shall begin. The descent and ascent to and from Triton’s surface shall be accomplished by the Baruna lander. Modules for a surface base will be carried with the Emmanuel Hamisi for deployment upon arrival.

The crew will consist of 8 experienced space travelers from Zanj and Indonesia. The crew roster is below:

  • Captain: Mohamed Nassoro - Zanj
  • Exogeological Specialist: Aisha Yusuf - Zanj
  • Cryogeological Specialist: Aziz Rashidi - Zanj
  • Biological Specialist: Caroline Msuya - Zanj
  • First Engineer: Muhamed Sidharta - Indonesia
  • Second Engineer: Amani Msafiri - Zanj
  • First Pilot: Alam Semesta -Indonesia
  • Second Pilot: Indah Permatasari - Indonesia

The crew will launch from the Waanzilishi Astrogate in January 2320 - exact date will vary based on weather and timing. They will transit to Lunar orbit aboard standard space transportation. Upon arrival at the Emmanuel Hamisi, they will assist with final preparation for a departure in February 2320.

Local traffic in Lunar orbit will have to be redirected to account for the highly radioactive exhaust of the Emmanuel Hamisi’s fusion engine. No craft will be permitted within 2000 kilometers of the hazardous zone (to be defined closer to launch) for two hours before and after the departure.
