Is the screen supposed to be this grey

I’m new to remarkable device and my remarkable move screen is noticeably quite dim, not as paper white as anticipated but rather grey-ish. This is without any brightness adjustment. I also noticed the brightness is not that well lit either, but only max setting is noticeably brighter.

Is this normal or did I get a defective model?
