Finley Weldon (ISU - UNH Transfer) not on UNH roster, attending University of Utah

I noticed on Instagram that Finley Weldon has University of Utah tagged in her bio and has posted pictures there as a student. Her original transfer commitment post to UNH is still up from May, but she's not on their 26-27 roster. Wonder what happened there, I was really excited to see her compete, her beam has such potential! I wonder if she will try to get a walk on spot on Utah's team or if that's even feasible?

Issues with SNS Seasoning? Or is it something else?

Hi everyone, I was so excited by SNS Seasoning being low fodmap AND delicious! A couple times now I've had some stomach pain and bloating afterwards though, albeit not every time (although I usually have them in dinner so I could be sleeping through symptoms.)

So now I am wondering if I am just super sensitive to alliums in general and should avoid these? I have no issues with garlic infused olive oil though. I'm hoping it was something else that accidentally triggered this (one time I had soy ice cream thinking it was a good dairy free option - whoops). Please weigh in!

Peacock/NBC using NCAA photos for Championships preview

I find it super funny and interesting that Peacock used photos from NCAA as the previews for the US Gymnastics Championships, especially since they include the OSU and Florida logos. I'm curious how they got the rights to these photos since NCAA is broadcast through ABC/ESPN - maybe they had a photographer there or bought the rights? As an aside, Jade and Skye look so fierce and stunning!

US Classic Bars E Scores - Zoey Molomo (7.85) vs Skye Blakely (8.1)

I love both of them, but can someone please explain how Zoey got a 7.85 E score whereas Skye received an 8.1 with a big break? Scoring discrepancy is so frustrating to me

Sarah Zois speaking out on abuse at GW

I don’t know the back story here and was wondering if anyone had any further info about what happened at GW under Margie Foster Cunningham. I was a bit confused by the wording of the posts at first, but it looks like Zois is upset at GW for quoting the former head coach she had spoken up about (not about the incoming or departing coach). Understandably so.

Aubree Guinee to Nebraska

Aubree Guinee, formerly of Iowa State, just announced her transfer to Nebraska. This was definitely last minute as they also had move in today. I’m so curious what went down between her and Minnesota since she announced her commitment there and later removed it without a word. Regardless, wishing her all the best and can’t wait to see this new Nebraska team!

Becca Tilley and fiancée Hayley Kiyoko attending Taylor and Travis’ wedding

For those who don’t know, Hayley performed her song “Curious” with Taylor Swift on the reputation tour and was in the YNTCD music video. They also attended Taylor’s Grammy’s after party one year as a couple. It makes me so happy that they were invited!

Tiara Platkin (formerly ASU) transfers to UPenn!

I’m excited about this, seems like she could be a real lineup contributor.

Casey Zacott removed from UPenn coaching roster

Anyone know what's up with this? There hasn't been an announcement or anything. This feels like a blow since Mabry Craddock also just left to be the Director of Operations for Auburn. So now it's just Kristen Becker and their brand new assistant coach left. Penn has been doing so well and on the cusp of regionals for a few years, I have really been rooting for their success!

Best time to start Indian Head for summit views?

My partner and I are planning to hike Indian Head in a few weeks on a weekday. I've heard reaching the summit 11-1pm is best to avoid shadows on either mountain. We are in moderately good shape although not hardcore athletes/hikers haha. We were thinking of leaving at 8 or 9am.

About how long do you think it will take to get from the parking lot to summit? Any other advice? TIA!

Gracie Kramer and Pua Hall Podcast

Gracie Kramer has a podcast called Athletes After Hours and had Pua on! They discussed how they both were committed to the same coach but heard crazy things about her, who I believe was René Lyst at the time. Including but not limited to: her sleeping with a football player (ie a STUDENT) who was dating one of the gymnasts on the Arkansas team, and her forcing the gymnasts to take laxatives to lose weight and body shaming them. This is not surprising considering the recent interview with Risa Perez about her experience with this same coach at Arizona State. She’s currently HC at Brockport which makes me so sad that she’s still in a position of power over athletes.

Also, I had no idea they were both previously committed there - I started following NCAA when Kyla Ross and Madison Kocian joined. I didn’t realize this is why Gracie was a walk on at UCLA!

Just saw a video of Ryan Roberts describing what he was looking for when selecting the rest of his coaching staff. It was clear he was describing specific people so it seems the full staff has already been selected. He emphasized it being a well balanced team and that it’ll be announced soon. Who do you think this is?

Associate HC: “Strong female 2nd” with experience in the SEC

3rd coach: good technician and spotter, go getter, built out ai for recruiting their current roster (I want to know more about this)

4th: recent student athlete closer in age to the athletes

Oh gosh. I figured out fructans are an issue for me, particularly wheat, garlic, and onion. Last week I had a work event until 8pm so I ate a small bowl of pasta with red sauce which presumably contained all three. Well, as a result I had flushing and general malaise the next day, and have been bloated for 5 days now. How long until the bloating calms down? I'm upset with myself because I had made tons of progress and was feeling great otherwise

Okay, I know everyone (myself included) suspects Josc is headed to Georgia to train with Cecile and possibly Laurent Landi. But I want to hear your other predictions/wildcards. Here are mine, in order of likelihood:

  • Florida - she already knows Owen and Jenny from elite comps, proven track record of training multiple elites
  • UCLA - Janelle is friends with Cecile, went to Olympics/Asian Games with Emma Malabuyo, obviously Jordan has been able to balance both elite and NCAA there
  • OU - not sure this will really happen but obviously KJ is an incredible NCAA coach
  • LSU - trust me, I do not think they need another transfer nor do I think Josc would get as much lineup time there, but I get the appeal of the NIL deals and being on a top tier team

It seems unlikely she would go anywhere without a proven track record of coaching elites or making multiple NCAA championships. What do you think?
