I’m learning bass guitar and want a drum machine for backing tracks solely for home practice. Is there something else like the Alesia SR-18 in a similar price range but more modern?

I like that you can program any pattern directly using the SR-18. Another bonus is that you can connect your guitar and speakers directly to it.

But the sounds seem a bit dated and you can’t add other samples.

I prefer having more realistic drum sounds and not another 808 clone analog drum machine.

Hybrid synths are also OK.

Any suggestions?

Have any of your main characters not come back to Tekken 8 yet?

For me, it is Josie and Lucky Chloe. I still haven’t really played Tekken 8 much because my main characters are still not available.

Are there any good massage parlors that are not fronts for prostitution?

I actually want a real massage. But every massage place I’ve ever seen recently looks more like a brothel. Are real massages a dying breed?

Ranking Foreigners by Attractiveness in the Philippines

Waaaaay more explicit (with nice words) than I was expecting. They waste no time from the beginning. Very cringeworthy. Can anyone let me know if most of what she says is true? Or is it supposed to be satire (doesn’t seem like it to me)?

Don’t let that smile fool you.

I want to get the Beginner to Badass course from BassBuzz but I can’t afford it. Are there any alternatives?

I just got a used bass and used amp recently and really want to learn bass.

I really want to get the Beginner to Badass course from BassBuzz, but I can’t really afford the $40/month or $200 lifetime membership cost.

I’m on food stamps and bought the bass with my own money and used my Amazon gift card balance I scrounged up over the years from submitting receipts every month to buy my bass amp. So I’m literally prioritizing bass over food. 😅

What is your recommendation for learning bass on an ultra low to non-existent budget?

Thank you.

What should be my first bass pedal or accessory?

I bought an Ibanez SR250 (active bass) and a bass amp. I had it professionally setup and started learning on my own.

What should be the first pedal or accessory I buy?

Tuner (PolyTune 3)
Compressor
Multi Effects (Zoom)
Overdrive or Distortion
Metronome (Korg KDM-3)
DI pedal
Something else?

I really like the sound of the Sadowsky bass in this video. Can anyone tell me the exact model of the Sadowsky bass used?

If I get a new bass, have Sadowsky pickups installed, use the same strings and use a Sadowsky preamp, can I pretty much get the same tone on whatever bass guitar I use?

Someone on Reddit said Sadowsky admitted that much of their signature guitar sound comes from their pickups. Someone also said their choice of wood is more for looks instead of tone.

Thank you.
