How’s living in Spoleto?

I’m thinking about moving to Spoleto (Umbria) for a few months to learn Italian. How’s living there?
- cost of living?
- do young people live there (33 yo myself)?
- life (is it also vibrant when the festival dei due mondi is over)?
- many tourists?
- housing?

Or would you choose perugia?

Grazie!

Moving to Modena/Reggio Emilia this summer?

Hi everybody,

I want to move to Italy for a few months to learn Italian starting this July, and deciding where to. Dutch 33 y/o woman.

My wishes:
- not too big
- few tourists
- affordable
- Italian feel
- I don’t mind it being a sleepy summer town
- place to work in a bar and learn Italian (I know some)

Right now Modena and Reggio Emilia are on top the list. I think Parma will be a bit too stiff, but if not please tell me.

My questions are:
- what are your experiences in these towns?
- if you should choose: which one?
- is the heat doable in summer?
- other towns you would recommend? Goal is to learn Italian and experience Italian life for a while.
