Five months, one buyback case, and a lot of emails later — replacement Atlas is home

Five months ago my car went into the shop and basically never came back out.

What followed: dozens of phone calls, a mountain of emails, a case number I know by heart, and a whole lot of patience I didn’t know I had.

Today it’s finally over — new ride is in the garage. 🔵

Lesson learned: document everything, follow up relentlessly, and don’t let it go quiet. Persistence pays.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got some driving to do. 🚗💨

Anyone been through a VW buyback? How long did it take?

2025 Atlas Cross Sport that's been at the dealer since February on the same open RO for a telematics/Car-Net issue. Module was replaced, TSB and software applied, connectivity briefly came back then failed again. Now the tech at the dealer says he has a new issue Apple CarPlay and Android no longer show in App Connect — which worked when I dropped it off. Repurchase eval is already open with VW Customer Care.

For those who've actually gone through a buyback: how long did it take from the eval opening to resolution? Did pushing through the dealer help, or did you have to go the lemon law / attorney route to get it moving? Trying to gauge what's realistic before I dig in further.

Thanks.
