There is an ultra "popular" Reddit account being used to manipulate American citizens
Do a quick Google search of their account name, Frosty underscore Jeweler911, as Reddit has hidden post and comments history.
Given their normal posting times of political reposts and the lack of popularity on the not spam "normal" cricket posts that don't have the usual interaction/engagement rates I believe they're based in India.
On their spam posts the top comments usually receive an engagement rate between 10-20% as opposed to the normal rate of 1-3%. They're clearly and unequivocally using bot farms to create engagement.
The account itself has over 1 million karma on around 1,000 posts.
You get banned or shadowbanned for pointing out the abnormalities of this account on the most popular subreddits. Reddit is perfectly fine with this as it drives users. Posts that call this out are actively being hidden.
Wisconsin transplant to STL here, if anyone is looking for a good bar that very much reminds them/me of home instead of going to Ballpark Village before the games this week I highly recommend Jack Patrick's. There's parking garages nearby that are reasonably safe (much safer than parking by Busch) and the walk is like 3.5 blocks. Very laid back bar (think nice dive bar) with great fried/bar food and reasonably priced drinks. Also, you won't have to wait for a table/drinks, although you'll likely have to go up to the bar yourself.
Ballpark Village is still pretty cool but I think it is better after games than before. Anyway, hope to see some of you out there!
