Apartment for Rent in Reston

Apartment for Rent in Reston

I currently have an apartment in The Arbor at Halley Rise that goes for $2032 monthly and on the first floor. Most of the details are in this picture but a few add one are: parking is $75 a month but the upside is wegmans is right next to it and the metro station is about 5-10 minutes biking/walking distance. It’s a nice quiet community and has a very homey feeling. The building was just recently built and opened to the public last year in June. I was just given the opportunity to relocate somewhere else for my job and honestly can’t afford to breaks the lease. The lease does end May 2027! I’m willing to possibly negotiate bringing down the payment a little bit but I need this rented out to someone else ASAP! Please reach out to me with any questions or interests.

I applied to The Arbor at Halley Rise about a month ago for a Workforce Dwelling Unit and still haven’t received any update from the leasing team. However, Rental Grow did notify me that I was conditionally approved, which makes the lack of follow-up even more confusing. I’m planning to move by the end of next month, so the lack of communication is starting to worry me.

In the beginning, the leasing team was very responsive, but lately I haven’t been able to get any replies at all. I’ve sent multiple emails and tried calling several times, but haven’t heard back.

I’m not sure how to move forward—should I keep trying with this property, or start looking elsewhere? I’ve also come across several reviews that raise some concerns, which adds to my hesitation. This would be my first apartment, so I want to make sure I’m making a solid decision, but the situation has left me feeling a bit uneasy since I was initially really excited about moving.
