Bilstein 5100s on OME Spring Lift
Even before buying the Sequoia (Koi) I’ve always wanted to lift it. I bought everything to do it and here’s the list of parts that I bought
- Bilstein 5100 (front and rear shocks)
- Old Man Emu 2884 (front)
- Old Man Emu 2862 (rear)
- KYB SM5442 strut mounts (they do come with coil spring insulators however they’re really not the right size technically. Could you use them? Yes, but get the ones from 1st Gen Offroad)
- KYB 1GORINSU (the part number is from 1st Gen Offroad. This is the one you’d want to use)
In the way of actually putting it together I would highly recommend having someone do it. But if you don’t you would need two open spring compressors and a cup spring compressor (pictures provided above)
Is the process sketchy? Yes. The way I got it done was compressing it enough to where I can put the strut mount and somewhat bolt it down and then install it on the Koi with the weight of it on you’ll be able to take off the strut mount nut and put the other bushing on with the plate.
BONUS - widdle wadded and tow hitch
